Configure one to five physical strips above; their LED indices form one continuous WLED address range. Same direction keeps every row left-to-right. Alternating direction reverses each wrapped row without adding a connector. Snake uses that alternating flow with rounded connectors between adjacent rows while keeping the total LED count unchanged. Strip gap adds spacing at strip boundaries. These are browser approximations of WLED effect motion. Built-in WLED 16 palettes are included; exact random timing, hardware color order and custom palettes can differ. Exposure brightens the whole preview. Gamma lift makes dim LED dots more visible, even at very low preset brightness, while glow stays tied to the selected brightness. Brightness overrides affect this preview only. Effect speed adjusts motion without changing playlist durations; 1× follows the WLED speed setting, with effect-specific approximations.
This list collects new unsupported FX as you browse presets and remembers them on this device.

v0.1.78
Moved the LED display/diffuser slider into Preview rendering. Made the WLED FPS slider a full-width row below the other rendering controls.
v0.1.77
JSON files now apply immediately when opened, while manual editor changes still wait for Apply changes. Save JSON file now asks for a filename before downloading. Moved Restart animation to the bottom of the preview panel.
v0.1.76
Made both JSON editors draft-based: changes now wait for an explicit Apply changes or Apply preset changes action, survive tab switching, and leave the active preview untouched until then. Added Save JSON file for the applied preset document. Added a selectable 15–120 WLED FPS simulation cadence (42 FPS default), including 120 FPS for higher-refresh controllers; persistent effect state resets safely when the rate changes.
v0.1.75
Replaced Fireworks (FX 42) and Rain (FX 43) with their shared WLED-style persistent spark buffer. The effects now use 42-FPS fade/blur behavior, preserve the two latest flare points, use intensity for spawn probability, and make Rain shift the actual spark buffer at WLED’s speed-and-length-derived cadence.
v0.1.74
Replaced the simple Rolling Balls (FX 48) and Fairy (FX 49) stand-ins with persistent, source-guided simulations. Rolling Balls now retains each ball’s velocity, mass, collisions, overlay/background, and optional trails; Fairy now builds WLED’s stable palette field, intensity-set flasher spacing, timed fades, and zone-based shimmer dimming.
v0.1.73
Added source-guided classic 1D ports for Android (FX 27), Gradient (FX 46), and Two Dots (FX 50). These now use WLED’s stateful grow/shrink logic, 16-bit moving gradient coordinate and spread, palette/background behavior, mapped movement delay, and intensity-derived dot width.
v0.1.72
Replaced the remaining classic chase approximations with source-guided ports for Chase (FX 28), Chase Random (FX 29), Chase Rainbow (FX 30), Rainbow Runner (FX 33), Colorful (FX 34), and Chase 2 (FX 37). They now use WLED’s 16-bit position math, width control, palette backgrounds, wrap-driven random changes, rainbow stepping, and color rotation rules.
v0.1.71
Ported the next classic 1D group with WLED-guided timing and state: Wipe/Sweep (FX 3/6), Wipe Random/Sweep Random (FX 4/36), Random Colors (FX 5), and Dynamic/Dynamic Smooth (FX 7/117). The preview now follows their source cycle lengths, directional wipe transitions, palette mapping, random-color fades, per-pixel update probability, and smooth-mode blending.
v0.1.70
Continued core 1D fidelity ports for Blink and Strobe (FX 1/23), Colorloop and Rainbow (FX 8/9), Fade (FX 12), Strobe Rainbow (FX 24), and Blink Rainbow (FX 26). These now use WLED’s frame pulse lengths, speed math, duty cycle, color-wheel stepping, saturation/size controls, and triangular fade timing.
v0.1.69
Continued the source-faithful classic-effect work with new WLED-guided ports for Twinkle (FX 17), Sparkle (FX 20), Sparkle Dark (FX 21), and Sparkle+ (FX 22). Twinkle now retains its frame-faded LED buffer and PRNG list; the Sparkle effects now use their WLED background, update cadence, probability, and density behavior.
v0.1.68
Improved WLED fidelity in the shared rendering engine: effect time now follows WLED’s normal 42 FPS cadence, color blending is quantized in LED color space, and position-mapped palettes no longer wrap at the segment endpoint. Replaced Theater and Theater Rainbow (FX 13/14) with source-guided running-pattern ports using WLED’s width, timing, palette, and rainbow-step rules.
v0.1.67
Audio-reactive preset names now show a microphone marker in the picker and preview title. The startup chooser now follows the random starter preset actually playing. Added source-guided running-light ports for Theater Rainbow (FX 14), Running (FX 15), and Saw (FX 16).
v0.1.66
The Audio visualizer now pauses itself when the active preset has no audio-reactive segments, displaying an in-panel explanation instead of unrelated moving bars. Added source-guided ports for Scanner/Scanner Dual (FX 10/11) and Stream (FX 39), including sweep trails, mirrored scanner behavior, and intensity-sized color zones.
v0.1.65
Replaced the single built-in example with a varied 20-preset themed starter collection. A random built-in preset is selected each time the page opens, including five audio-reactive previews, while opening or pasting your own JSON still replaces the starter collection as before.
v0.1.64
Moved Playing, Play/Pause, and Float preview into a bottom preview footer, with Float immediately to the right of Play/Pause. Refined source-guided WLED ports for Running Dual (FX 52) and Fire Flicker (FX 45), including their opposing sine fields and intensity-limited flicker behavior.
v0.1.63
Refined floating preview into a cleaner edge-sticky strip view. Only the black LED canvas floats; the title, controls, labels, and panel remain in the page. The strip now catches the top or bottom viewport edge instead of passing through it, and tapping the LED preview toggles float mode with a brief Float On/Off message.
v0.1.62
Refined Smart float preview handoff: while scrolling down, the preview now docks at the top as soon as it reaches the viewport edge instead of disappearing completely and then popping back into view.
v0.1.61
Moved the Float preview switch directly into the LED preview header next to Play/Pause, so it is immediately available without scrolling through the layout controls.
v0.1.60
Added numeric preset IDs to the preview title when a preset comes from a complete file. Added an optional Smart float preview mode: the LED preview stays inline while its normal location is visible, docks at the bottom before you reach it, and docks at the top after you scroll past it.
v0.1.59
Made the Audio visualizer span the full width on narrow screens, placing it on its own row between the Audio source controls and optional local-file playback controls.
v0.1.58
Added a lightweight 16-band block visualizer to the Audio panel. It displays the same level, bass, and beat analyzer data fed to audio-reactive FX, uses the pghWebLED cyan-to-pink color flow, and refreshes at a capped 30 FPS.
v0.1.57
Reorganized the preview controls into clean Strip layout, Physical spacing, Preview rendering, and Brightness override groups. Moved Audio input and local-file playback into its own responsive panel, keeping Simulated and Load modes while preventing the wide-screen control row from becoming cluttered.
v0.1.56
Reworked the classic 1D audio family with effect-specific, source-guided strip behavior for Pixels, Pixelwave, Matripix, Gravimeter, Plasmoid, Puddles, Midnoise, Noisemeter, Freqwave, Freqmatrix, Waterfall, and Freqpixels. Each now responds distinctly to loaded or simulated audio rather than sharing the broad fallback look. Also restored the complete numeric changelog and made the build reject a missing release number.
v0.1.55
Completed 1D animated preview coverage for the remaining matrix-only WLED effects, including Binmap, 2D Fire, DNA, Matrix, Metaballs, Game of Life, Polar Lights, Lissajous, Plasma Ball, and Black Hole. All are clearly labeled as 1D strip-slice interpretations rather than true matrix ports.
v0.1.54
Added animated 1D strip-slice fallbacks for Rotozoomer, Spaceships, Crazy Bees, Blobs, Scrolling Text, Drift Rose, Distortion Waves, Soap, Octopus, and Waving Cell. These are labeled as matrix-oriented approximations in the preview notes.
v0.1.53
Ported the remaining practical 1D gaps: Traffic Light, Tetrix, ICU, Percent, and TV Simulator. Image now follows WLED’s no-GIF fallback by rendering Solid instead of appearing unsupported. Matrix-only effects remain separate from the 1D preview.
v0.1.52
Extended loaded-audio response to 1D fallback previews of WLED’s matrix-oriented audio effects: GEQ, Funky Plank, Waverly, Swirl, Akemi, Particles GEQ, and Particle Center GEQ. These use the same analyzer data on a strip rather than emulating a full matrix.
v0.1.51
Added real browser-local audio response to the WLED 1D audio-effect group. Loaded audio now supplies bass, mids, treble, beat, and a 16-band spectrum to Juggles, Midnoise, the Noise/Frequency/Gravimeter families, DJ Light, Blurz, Flow Stripe, Wavesins, Rocktaves, Shimmer, and PS 1D GEQ/Sonic Stream/Sonic Boom. Matrix-only audio effects remain outside this 1D preview.
v0.1.50
Repaired page initialization so the strip preview, JSON-file picker, and controls work normally again. Added local audio playback and analysis for audio-reactive PS effects: choose Simulated or Load, then select a browser-local audio file with play/pause, scrubber, and volume controls. Bass, mids, treble, and beat data drive PS 1D GEQ, Sonic Stream, and Sonic Boom.
v0.1.49
Salvaged and expanded source-driven PS particle work for the 1D preview, including Ghost Rider, Blobs, 1D GEQ, Sonic Stream, Sonic Boom, Galaxy, and the related particle effects. Added comparison presets to support strip testing before the later audio and fidelity refinements.
v0.1.48
Reworked Color Clouds (FX 218) around WLED’s Color Clouds formula: c1 controls cloud density, c2 color variation, c3 dark-gap distance, palette brightness fades to black, and slow cloud/color motion follows the WLED speed and intensity controls.
v0.1.47
Added Twinkleup (FX 106). Added Previous and Next preset controls plus a three-position autoplay toggle (Off, Sequence, Random) with a 1-second to 2-minute interval slider.
v0.1.46
Split line direction into Same direction, Alternating direction, and Snake. Alternating preserves the original reversed-row layout without turns; Snake adds the rounded physical connectors and is now the default. Default line gap is 3.5× and strip gap is 3.0×.
v0.1.45
Removed the 160-LED layout preference from import detection. Suggested layouts now begin with the exact total as one strip, and every additional strip count divides that detected total as evenly as possible.
v0.1.44
Added layout detection when a JSON file is loaded. pghWebLED now finds the highest segment address across the whole import, then offers exact one-to-five-strip layouts sized for the needed LEDs, or lets you keep the current layout.
v0.1.43
Finalized the improved snake-turn preview from 0.1.43 test builds: rounded turns keep LED spacing consistent, diffuser blur now follows LED gap (minimum 1.4×), and the permanent diffuser uses 2.25× brightness, 0.70 falloff, and 33% minimum glow. Replaced the LED-dots checkbox with a three-position LED display slider for dots, dots plus diffuser, or diffuser only.
v0.1.42
Corrected snake-corner arc placement so the first and last bend LEDs use the same spacing as every other LED, including at large line gaps.
v0.1.41
Snake turns now size their vertical clearance and connector count from the selected LED gap, keeping corner LEDs evenly spaced around a rounded path.
v0.1.40
Made snake turns compact rounded U-shapes by limiting their visual depth to the line spacing, preventing wide LED gaps from stretching each turn sideways.
v0.1.39
Improved snake turns at wide LED and line gaps with true rounded U-paths and adaptive connector density, while retaining the clean default layout.
v0.1.38
Refined snake turns into clean, evenly spaced half-arcs with fewer connector LEDs, making wide line gaps read as a continuous strip instead of crowded dot clusters.
v0.1.37
Extended the line gap control to 8×. Snake layouts now place endpoint LEDs along rounded connectors between adjacent lines, splitting each turn evenly between the two lines without changing the total LED count.
Moved the preset selector into the JSON panel beneath the file controls, kept it visible for a single loaded preset, and made the selector disabled until a multi-preset file is loaded.
v0.1.34
Added FX 47 Loading, corrected FX 73 Noise 4 timing, moved the preset selector below the JSON editor, and refined logo enchantments.
v0.1.33
Logo enchantments. Integrated v0.1.31–0.1.32 FX, restored Ripple Rainbow, and connected the new effects to their renderers.
Added Scanner (FX 40), Lighthouse (FX 41), Colorwaves (FX 67), Sinelon Dual (FX 93), and Shimmer (FX 161) with authentic WLED and FastLED motion, bidirectional and wrapping sweeps, fading trails, palette mapping, and segment modifiers.
v0.1.30
Centered the animated logo and caption, added tap-to-cycle logo speeds 1 → 0 → 3 → 2, refreshed cyan/violet/pink accents within the dark theme, and implemented BPM (FX 68), Plasma (FX 97), and Noise Pal (FX 107).
v0.1.29
Changed the logo caption to WLED 16 preset preview; added Noise 1 (FX 70), Noise 2 (FX 71), Sinelon Rainbow (FX 94), and Ripple Rainbow (FX 99) with WLED-inspired motion and palettes.
v0.1.28
Added the responsive pghWebLED dot-matrix header logo with equal-size LED nodes, circular diode outlines, animated color flow, and a layered diffuser glow.
v0.1.27
Added a line-direction selector to draw each strip in the same direction or snake alternate lines, including right-aligned partial reverse lines while keeping continuous WLED LED indices.
v0.1.26
Renamed the project pghWebLED; added 1–5 physical strips with shared or individual LED lengths, separate line and strip spacing controls, and continuous WLED index mapping across wrapped strips.
v0.1.25
Combined the complete presets file and selected preset JSON editors into one tabbed panel; preserved selected preset syncing, imports, draft edits, and mobile layout.
v0.1.24
Added Dissolve Rnd (FX 19), Chase Flash (FX 31), Chase Flash Rnd (FX 32), Sine (FX 108), and PS Hourglass (FX 207) with effect timing, colors, and particle motion.
v0.1.23
Set exposure and gamma lift defaults to 1; scaled ordinary 80-LED lines to fit portrait phones while retaining horizontal scroll for wide LED-gap layouts.
v0.1.22
Corrected Pacifica (FX 101) wave phase timing: FastLED beat16 values 301–601 are Q8.8 fractional BPM; previews now move at WLED’s intended speed.
v0.1.21
Added Fairytwinkle (FX 51), Fire 2012 (FX 66), Twinklefox (FX 80), Twinklecat (FX 81), and Candle (FX 88), including effect timers, palette colors, and moving flicker.
v0.1.20
Added visible version numbers and the full version history to the preview and standalone HTML; established the 0.1.x release sequence.
v0.1.19
Added Pride 2015 (FX 63), aligned Pacifica’s palette motion with WLED’s effect-frame timing, and added a persistent list of unsupported FX IDs.
v0.1.18
Added Aurora (FX 38) and Pacifica (FX 101) wave previews; set the default to 80 LEDs per line.
v0.1.17
Added an editable JSON box for the selected preset, live preview updates, and synchronization with the full export while preserving other presets and metadata.
v0.1.16
Added round or square LEDs and a 0–5× LED-width gap control; widened and scrolled strips when larger gaps need more room.
v0.1.15
Rebuilt Juggle (FX 64) with frame-to-frame fading trails and set Ignore preset brightness to checked by default.
v0.1.14
Replaced per-LED SVG circles and blur filters with Canvas drawing; added separate FX and drawing time measurements.
v0.1.13
Added independent overrides for overall preset and segment brightness; raised the default gamma lift so dim Patriot stripes remain visible.
v0.1.12
Added eight 1D PS particle effects (202, 204–206, 208, 210, 211, 213) and the WLED 1D Solid fallback for 2D PS effects.
v0.1.11
Added 20 more 1D FX approximations, including Breathe, Random Wipe, Sweep, and Chase 2.
v0.1.10
Corrected Chunchun (FX 111) so its secondary color stays in the background while birds move over it.
v0.1.9
Fixed Copy Segment’s FullStack mode to copy physical LEDs after source grouping and spacing.
v0.1.8
Added Lightning, Halloween Eyes, Drip, Multi Candle, and related FX; clarified Copy Segment length limits and 2D fallbacks.
v0.1.7
Added Noise 3 (FX 72) with moving three-dimensional noise and WLED palette sampling.
v0.1.6
Corrected Copy Segment to use matching logical LED positions instead of stretching a shorter source; expanded the gamma lift range.
v0.1.5
Added the effect-speed control and refined Juggle timing for WLED’s Q8.8 beat values.
v0.1.4
Added the gamma lift slider to make very dim LED colors visible while keeping glow tied to brightness.
v0.1.3
Expanded effect support with Fireworks Starburst (FX 89) and others; added built-in palettes, playlists, and individually colored LEDs.
v0.1.2
Added a configurable number of LEDs per line for a wrapped strip layout.
v0.1.1
Created the SVG browser preview with JSON import, preset selection, segment rendering, Copy Segment, and the initial 26 FX.
